McDermott built the 980 MW HVDC converter platform for TenneT at its Jebel Ali yard in Dubai. It connects offshore wind farms in the German North Sea to the grid. Petromarsh engineers commissioned its control systems.

Open PLC control cabinet on an HVDC platform with network switches, power supplies, I/O and terminals — A complete control cabinet with the door open: industrial Ethernet switches on the door, 24 V DC power supplies at the top, then distributed I/O, interface relays and field terminals. Petromarsh carried out control system commissioning on TenneT's 980 MW HVDC platform, built by McDermott at its Jebel Ali yard in Dubai.
